Through the travels of the delightfully zany limberjack ‘Ti-Jean,’ students and teachers become acquainted with 20 of the major traditional fêtes of Francophone cultures across North America. Each holiday is explained in a single page comic strip with a song, recipe and game on the back. Teachers may photocopy this and then follow suggestions for duplicating the holiday in the classroom in a simple, easy and inexpensive way. Nothing beats holding a “party” with food for an authentic learning experience! It complements the curriculum, gives new life to old traditions, and maintains students’ interest.
